Nora cap toe chain ballet flats review

Nora cap toe chain ballet flats

I like the look of those shoes from the time I saw them in my store couple of months ago. I think it is the combination of delicate pink with black cap toe that got me. Of course, they have that Chanel-esque vibe  that I find hard to resist.

I wanted to review them in case you are contemplating getting them at current sale price minus 30% LOVEIT promo, bringing the price down to $84, which is not bad if you like the shoes.

They fit TTS, imo. I am usually wearing 8.5 in heels and sometimes 8 in ballet flats and I tried on both 8 and 8.5.

8 was better in length but it was pinching me at the top of the toes and on the side where I developed an ugly bunion :(  8.5 felt better with bare feet but they would slide off with socks or stockings. If you have medium to narrow feet and you are in between sizes, definitely go with your smaller size.

They ahve a little bit of toe cleavage but not too much.

They have no support or padding and thin soles. But, if you can wear regular ballet flats you will be just as comfortable it these and they are very pretty imo.

I would love to wear them with black capris and light pink top or even all black and just pink necklace.

That's all folks!

  1. I think they are so pretty and you know I love pale pink and black too.
I'm off flats now, I need a Chie or a boot heel. Have a great weekend!

  2. I'm returning these today! I went with my smaller size and they still sometimes have a tendency to pop off a little when walking around. Also, I prefer ballet flats that conform to the foot, more like the Cece (but my favorite are the Tory Burch Eddies). These are just a little too wide and give the impression that my foot is bigger than it is.

They are gorgeous shoes though which is why I had to try them. Agree 100% on the Channel-esque vibe. I wanted them to work so bad!

One other thing I noticed - I went with a size 9 (I'm usually 9.5) and I noticed that mine have one more loop on the gold chain than your 8.5's. One of the other complaints that I had about these shoes is that the chain flops around and the jingling makes me feel like I'm one of Santa's (very fashionable) helpers.

    1. I have medium wide feet so you are probably right, they will not work for narrow feet.
And funny about the chain links, that's exactly something that I would do, count the number of links, lol.

  3. SO funny- we definitely like the same things. I went in last night to try them on, as they have been on my radar for a while. I am still debating. I think they are lovely, but they seemed very narrow in the front, and I have a wide foot. I will be curious to kow how they worked for you after a whole day. They look wonderful with your outfit!

  4. I have put the kabosh on ballet flats here. I have some, but I hardly ever want to wear them. I like the idea of them better than the actual wearing of them. Also I have the Janie flats and the color is similar so I think I have that covered. I have seen the Nora Captoe Chain ballet flats in the store and they are just as pretty as they look in your pictures.

    1. I said the same thing and for me, J.Crew ballet flats are NOT one of the comfortable ones. I own two pairs that I like, Pierras and Gold Pom Poms, the rest are rubbish.

  5. I think these are lovely and I am intrigued especially by the all black outfit with this delicate pop of colour on the bottom!

I just find a loafer sturdier or a nice pair of shorter heels. I purged a couple more pair of shoes on the weekend, If my feet are not comfortable, I have realized I just can't feel good.

I bit on the black/cream herringbone capris - we will see if they stay - I really need some interesting trousers to wear with my black jackets.

    1. If I keep them, I will definitely do the black outfit and post here. I can only wear loafer with pants, otherwise I feel too masculine.
I like the idea of the herringbone trousers with black jacket, hope they will work for you.

  6. I really love the Chanel inspired ballet flats that J Crew has come up with over the years. They look great on you. My days for wearing any J Crew flats are over. My feet rebelled and developed a chronic plantar fasciitis so I'm looking for healthier options these days. Not easy to find at all.

    1. they are pretty but will I last the whole day in them? I am not sure. I am usually pretty good about not buying for imaginary life, but I have a lot of shoes that are pretty but unpractical, I just like looking at them. These would be on eof the 'no walkimg required' pairs, how silly is that?

  7. The best ballet flats are made by a brand called Attilio Giusti Leombruni or AGL. They carry them at Nordstroms and other shoe stores on the web like Tigers and Tulips. They are pricey but supportive - and attractive. Jcrew flats look cute but they are like slippers!
