Have you bought any of the short in front, longer in the the back skirts or tops? I was never a fan of uneven hems because they seemed too trendy or just weird and funny looking. I own an Oilily dress that I wasn't wearing much until I got the hem tailored to make it all one length (and then it instantly became one of my favorites), I also have an old, high-low style skirt, that never wore because it is shorter in front and longer in the back. So when those uneven hems started popping out everywhere last year, I thought I will definitely sit this one out.
However, without really planning it I have recently bought not one but two of those tops. One is the t-shirt that I got at Anthro (see it here) that is currently my favorite t-shirt to wear with jeans. The other is a cashmere sweater from 360 Sweater.
I never heard of the brand before until Jody from About Last Weekend mentioned it in her comment on my blog. If you are not yet reading Jody's blog make sure to check it out. Her style is California laid back fabulous, her house is an eye candy, I want to visit all the places she travels to but she is refreshingly candid and one of the most hilarious blogers I read regularly.

360 Sweater Olivia in Cassis |
I ordered a sweater in Medium, since they listed it as TTS in designer sizes and I think the fit is correct. It is supposed to be a loose fitting sweater. It is big all over but I think it works. The sleeves are long and not too tight.
The color is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. The drape is great. The cashmere quality I think is comparable to J.Crew, as far as softness and possible pilling. Cashmere sweaters all feel a little scratchy when you try them while it is 90F outside. Only time will tell about the pilling. The price I paid was comparable to J.Crew sale price.
Surprisingly, I really like the high low design. I actually have problems with some of my cardigans being too long in front, especially wearing them with skirts and dresses. And I like the longer back, I think it adds visual interest.
Overall, I decided to keep the sweater, I love the design, slouchy shape and I think the color it will be great with jeans, blacks, browns and camels.

That's all folks!
Have you heard of 360 Sweater?
What do you thing of the uneven hems? Is this something you'd wear or deem too trendy?
Please share, it would be no fun without you!!!
I love the color of the sweater. I am going to check it out on 360 right now!(After I get the boys to school!)
ReplyDeleteToday was the first day of school here and I exhausted!
DeleteI thought about you tonight as I stood on a mile long line at Office Depot with my older son. I was smirking when I read your post this morning because I was SO prepared in advance. Prepared until my 17 year old came home with a must have list for tonight!
DeleteNo mullet dresses or tops for me, but that jumper has a lovely cut, the curve makes it quite different from the mullet garments out there. I used to buy a lot from Revolve about 12 years ago, when I was a young thing.
ReplyDeleteThe curved hem got me too!
DeleteI am actually guilty of acquiring a few pieces this season and tehy worked well for me- mostly Anthro items- the Mixed Biology dress, Damia chemise and newly acquired Carissa & Cobalt Blouse. I say those have to be tried and explored.
ReplyDeleteAnthro has a lot of those high low tops, I was surprised how well they work.
DeleteI bought a tee at anthro that has the high low thing going on and I really like it. It is tunic length in back, but high hip in front. Your cardigan is adorable-360 has lovely things.
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie, I am always excited to find a new brand I like, I guess I am hoping to get out of the jcrew rut.
DeleteI love it! Wait till you see the sweater I bought from nougat london! I am stalking your trends without even realizing it!
ReplyDeleteForgot to ask: have you seen the herringbone cafe capris in warm camel?
DeleteCannot wait to see your sweater WMM! I haven't seen the camel capris but last years ones were too itchy fore..
DeleteHow funny - I LOVE 360 and am obsessed with their cardies. In fact my only regret in LA was that I didn't get their new lilac one.
ReplyDeleteI love them too! Lilac sounds delicious for you with your coloring!
DeleteThe sweater is gorgeous, and now I must get the Anthro tee also. What size did you get? Thx
ReplyDeleteI bought a Small in the Anthro t-shirt. I love this tee and I just posted an outfit with a blue one.
DeleteSorry, but I think that sweater is pedestrian and boring; could easily be a JCPenney sweater IMO.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I have to checkout JCP, I woudl like it much more with their pricing :)
