What a beautiful Memorial Day weekend we are having! It is my perfect weather, sunny and crisp and not too hot. Yesterday we decided to drive up to Hyde Park, NY to visit the <a href="http://www.nps.gov/hofr/index.htm" target="_blank">home of president Franklin D. Roosevelt</a>. Its a really great place to visit and I highly recommend it, even if you are not a history buff ( I am not). I thought I was going to see the house and garden which are beautiful, but it was the exhibit in the Presidential Library that blew me away.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I never really realized how visionary and progressive the whole New Deal and Roosevelt's presidency was and seeing it from current political and economical perspective was fascinating. We are still benefiting from so many initiatives set in place at that time: Social Security, minimum wage, 40 hrs workweek, SEC and Banking regulations, countless infrastructure and more. It is also interesting to think that in some ways we went backwards and have almost arrived where it started.</div>

In the afternoon it got warmer and I could remove my jean jacket. It looks warmer in the pictures, but it was only low sixties, just shows you that I was determine to show off this <a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/89509111319014869/" target="_blank">Portia Top</a> in abstract. I got it from Emerson Fry recently. It is sold out on the website but it may show up in outlet. Similar to other Portia Tops but this one is in silk (including the full lining). It's crazy expensive but I got it on major sale ($69). I love the quality of Emerson Fry! Now, I swear that the shorts were looking longer in the mirror, lol. I should wear them with a shorter top for better proportions.</div>

The 'Freedom From Fear' sculpture in the back of Presidential Library has an interesting story behind it. It was created by Edwina Sandys, granddaughter of Winston Churchill. Male and female human figures were carved from large section of Berlin Wall. I love how they are breaking out of barbed wire. In a way it is also a little ironic since both Churchill and Roosevelt have their indirect part in creating the Berlin Wall in the first place.</div>

I used to wear more skirts and dresses but I have been working from home a lot and my current office has a very casual dress code, so denim only seems a natural choice. Plus, its so easy, you slide into a pair of skinny jeans, throw on a floaty top and voila, you are ready to go!<br />
<br />
But sometimes a girl wants a dress... A new dress. I have mentioned that I have gained some weight and nowhere it was showing more than in the dress department. They all seemed to shrunk somehow...<br />
<br />
Well, good or bad, it was an excuse to shop for something new. So far so good, right? Unfortunately, shopping when you gain weight can be a torture. Everything was just wrong. After trying on 15 dresses I was feeling like a bloated hippo and pretty much ready to give up. Resign myself to the fact that nothing will ever look good simply because I don't. But you know what? I am stubborn. I was convinced there is a dress out there for a woman of any size and proportions, I must have been trying on the wrong styles. So did a quick inventory of what works and what doesn't. My biggest problem area is my waist, or the lack of one. On the other hand, my legs are probably my favorite feature, that's why I have been loving all those skinny jeans. I needed a dress that is fitted on top and flows from my chest skimming over the belly and stops few inches over my knees. It has to be more structured and made from fabric that is not too clingy. I love the color and pattern but nothing beats dark solids when you want to look size smaller than you are. Say yes to the black leather dress!<br />
<br />

Best rendered in floaty silks and soft jerseys, they immediately signal a warmer, sunnier outlook and make me dream of vacations and travelling to happy places. However, I know from the experience that bold flower prints can be tricky when you are not a one of those willowy young things, perfectly positioned by pristine pools in exotic locales.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I do adore those floaty, dreamy dresses that make you think of strolling, basket in hand, in the colorful countryside. They magically make me simultaneously look for the straw hat and an electronic wallet. But burned by numerous hard crashes with the merciless reality of a full size mirror, I come to think that a little flower top may be a safer option for me.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<br />
This little flower number by Joie is sheer perfection, albeit not actually sheer, which is great (and rare!). I am no seamstress, mind you, but it looks beautifully made and the print itself is gorgeous and makes even the YouTube kittens jealous of attention. The V-neck is not too deep but it does create a leaner, sexier silhouette and the elastic at the bottom makes it stay put while camouflaging my, ahem, not so flat, stomach.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<br />
I feel like I am often lured and then quickly betrayed by those bold colorful designs, as they can look great on models and in the magazines but often end up looking frumpy and visually add pounds and inches when worn by mere mortals, aka yours truly. There is a fine line here between a fresh feminine charm and something better left in grandma's closet or worse yet, best suited for some prepubescent hippie Lolitas. I want to think it works here but I have been wrong before and got pictures to prove it.<br />

So again, I did not post for over a month, sorry. I planned to be back sooner and I even had a few draft posts in the works, but somehow, life just gets in a way.<br />
<br />
Winter has ended ( according to the calendar) and we greeted the first day of spring with another snow storm. But yesterday it was warmer and today the sun decided to come out, which cheered me immensely. It was still cold but I decided to at least ditch the boots and the winter coat, as it seemed I have been wearing them for years. I love my coats and boots and since I don't have that many pairs they actually make it easier to dress everyday but this has been a long winter...<br />

I went to see Insurgent (from Divergent Series) with my daughter. We liked it a lot. When she was a couple of years younger I have been conflicted about Hunger Games and worrying that the view of the world is too cynical for a pre-teen but I think she is now mature enough and all those topics are actually good conversation starters and opportunity for some interesting intellectual discussions. so we have seen Divergent and all three Hunger Games movies, The Giver and Lucy. Even if artistically they are nothing special they all revolve around the question of what makes us human and for that alone, in my opinion, they are worth seeing at this age.<br />

We are having so much snow here this winter, its driving me crazy! With the weather like this, schools are closed or have delayed openings, roads are icy and I end up working from home most of the time. I am very grateful that I can do it, but sometimes it gives me a cabin fever.</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
So last weekend I had to fight the dreariness of the winter with a pop of pink! The coat is from Emerson Fry (2013) and I love it. Perfect for layering, well made, timeless design. I am also carrying my other fav: Marc by Marc Jacobs <span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; color: #222222; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 21px; text-transform: capitalize;">Sheltered Island Top Handle satchel. </span>I desperately needed a black bag since the strap on my trusty Banana Republic messenger bag broke down after few years of a heavy use. I got this one during F&F sales. It is available at Bloomingdales <a href="http://www1.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/marc-by-marc-jacobs-satchel-sheltered-island-top-handle?ID=894610&pla_country=US&cm_mmc=Google-PLA-ADC-_-GS-Handbags-_-Marc%20By%20Marc%20Jacobs-_-887710178249USA&CAWELAID=120156070000156676&CAGPSPN=pla&catargetid=120156070000240873&cadevice=c" target="_blank">here</a>, alas no discount now. Perfect size, great shape, soft leather and not heavy, what more can you ask? I know what: outside pocket for my phone! Still, I am very happy with it.<br />

The rest of my outfit is all from <a href="http://www.bergentowncenter.com/index.aspx" target="_blank">The Outlets at Bergen Town Center</a>. I live only few miles away from it and love shopping there; Nordstrom Rack for shoes, Bloomingdales outlet for denim and Last Call Studio by Neiman Marcus for tops. They also have Saks Off 5th but I am always completely shopped out after hitting the first three. They have J.Crew factory as well. If you are in vicinity and have some time, I think it is worth it! I am wearing Paige skinnies (from Bloomies), Sam Edelman Booties (Nordstrom Rack) and Michael Kors sweater (Last Call). All three (combined) around $150. This can cheer me up in no time, lol!<br />

My old bedroom <span style="text-align: center;">was bright, warm and cozy and while I lived in my old house I loved everything about it. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: center;">But once I unpacked the boxes in my townhouse I knew I wanted something completely different. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;">Below you can see what was my new bedroom before I bought the house. Its a nice and big room with enough space for a bed tucked in on one side and a spacious seating area with big windows overlooking a backyard on the other side. I thought I would replace the flooring and work with my old furniture. But suddenly I wanted a change. I couldn't do warm colors anymore. I felt like the earth tones were out there to suffocate me. Everything I liked was blue, gray or silver.. And I really wanted blue upholstered bed and Lucite bench. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: start;">In fact, I first painted this room the same color i had in my old bedroom but here, and maybe just at this point in my life, it looked dated and unexciting. I had a great decorator to help me pick the paint colors and we decided to go with color scheme that we already used in the other areas of the house. Once I started there was no going back. I sold my old bedroom set to a young girl decorating her first apartment. It made me happy to see somebody excited about using it! Now I felt less guilty about picking up my dream furniture. Everything i picked up was some kind if deal but of course it still added up so I had to replace some of my choices with more affordable versions. Scouting Wayfair, Joss and Main and Lamps Plus became my everyday ritual for couple of months. Not so different from checking J.Crew site for popbacks!</span></div>

I did get the bed and chaise I wanted and eventually i found all the other pieces at great prices, including some real steals from Lamps Plus Open Box sales. I contemplated adding mirrored nightstands for some Hollywood glam factor but in the end, I decided to go with the white ones from Wayfair to match the cabinet on the other side of the room. I love having those big windows across from my bed!</div>

I have to tell you, it is so hard to take good interior pictures without the wide angle lens and proper lighting. I feel like the 'before' pictures sometimes look better, rooms are brighter and seem bigger because they were taken by professional photographer, colors enhanced and exposure adjusted, so you have to take my word for it, it does look better irl.</div>

The fun part of being single is that you can buy whatever you want and you don;t have to compromise. Even if your partner has a similar taste there is always going to be something you adore that does not appeal to them. Now that I only had myself to ask, I suddenly I wanted to go all girly and a little glam. I was like a kid in the candy store. </div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Last year I fell in love with their latest album, Songs of Innocence. There are so many wonderful songs and great lyrics there!<br />
<br />
<div style="border: 0px none; margin: 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13.4399995803833px;">If you go your way and I go mine</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13.4399995803833px;">Are we ready to be swept off our feet</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13.4399995803833px;">And stop chasing every breaking wave?</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial;"><span style="font-size: 13.4399995803833px;">It is easy to fall in love but at some point in relationship we choose to stay in love and this where I think love truly begins. Love is a choice. We humans are always looking for love in some form, loving our parents, our partners, our children, our friends, our country, </span></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13.4399995803833px;">our jobs, our dreams for the future, our memories of the past. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial;"><span style="font-size: 13.4399995803833px;">I think this may be one of the reasons we celebrate Valentine's Day, to remind ourselves that we are choosing to stay. Wherever we are, there is always some love to hold on to. Even if you are not in a happy place, I believe that when you stay with something you love, love will find its way back to you. Because love is a wave.</span></span><br />

Did you see <a href="http://jcrewaficionada.blogspot.com/2015/02/coming-soon-madewell-at-net-porter.html" target="_blank">the post</a> from J.Crew Aficionada about Madewell coming to Nordstrom and Net-a-Porter? I have a Madewell store in the nearby mall, so it doesn't make a huge difference to me, but I think this is great news to those who don't. I love Nordstrom!<br />
<br />
Madewell has some great boots and bags. I was dying for Rag and Bone ankle booties last year but could not justify the price and Madewell had some good alternatives (Billie!). I ended up not buying them, but only because I was so wrapped up in the house decorating madness. But last summer I needed a few new t-shirts and Madewell had just the styles. I think they are a little edgier and trendier than J.Crew but still without logos and unnecessary embellishments. <br />

In fact, their striped linen tee has been one of my favorite items recently. Yes. To the point that when I look at my iPhone pictures, it sometimes seems like that's the <i>only</i> t-shirt I own! I also seem to be drinking a lot of champagne, but that's a good thing, right?<br />

Here I am, rowing in the Central Park, dressed in almost all-Madewell outfit. The white vest was another one of my favs, It can instantly turn even your shorts-and-tee outfit into something chic. And I wore that necklace to death. Quite literally, as one day the chain came apart and it was all little pieces all over the floor. So OK, maybe it is not such a great quality, but I still loved it while it lasted (kind of like my ex, but nevermind). I saw this necklace on some TV personalities, including Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper. I love her style, don;t you?<br />

<br />
Here is that t-shirt again, this time with my Rag and Bone Fedora. I also bought it in red and solid gray (the t-shirt, not the hat), but somehow I did not wear those that often. Contrary to the care label washing instructions, I just wash them on a regular cycle. Who has time to hand wash the t-shirts? They do shrink if you put them in the dryer but they will stretch again in the next wash. I also like their viscose slouchy v-neck tees, they drape well and they are supersoft. That said, they do sometimes develop those annoying little holes in front. I gave up on it and just assume they will not last more than one season. Oh well.<br />
<br />
For now, I realized that I need a couple of long sleeve t-shirts, as I seem to have 'outgrown' most of what I have in my closet. Sigh. I even suggested to my boyfriend that maybe if he dumped me, I started losing some weight, being brokenhearted and such, but buying couple of things in a bigger size may be a more pleasant solution. Don't worry, eventually I may skip some of the DD breakfasts and may even get back to an exercise routine, lol.<br />
<br />
Here is what I ordered:<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
And this too:<br />

<br />
I should have gone to the store to try it on, but I am too lazy. That's what happens when you <strike>start getting fat</strike> like Meghan Trainor too much.<br />
<br />
Btw, why is everything cropped these days? <b>I can't do cropped!</b><br />

What do you think? Do you buy from Madewell? Do you own any of the t-shirts I ordered?<br />

I loved everything about my old house. It was a 1920 Tudor Colonial, on a lovely tree-lined street and I have spent a lot of time getting it to the point where I wanted it to be. We have done some major renovations there so at fisrt I wanted to stay there. I could afford the mortgage (barely) but after living there without my husband for a year I realized that it was just too much maintenance for me. After I made the decision to sell I had no regrets. It is a major hassle to get the house ready for sale, so it became my pet project and I often thrive on challenges.<br />
<br />
I had a wonderful realtor who is also a friend and she was super helpful with every step of the way. She brought a stager named Barbara, to look at the house, rearrange some furniture and figure out what to do with couple of rooms which were empty after my ex moved out. I have to admit that I thought I don't need the stager. Didn't I know it all after I spent so many hours watching HGTV?<br />
<br />
I was wrong. Barbara was able to come up with some tweaks I wish I had known when I actually lived in the house. And it was fun! If you are selling the house I would encourage you to get the stager. My realtor paid for her services out of her commission but it would have been worth it if I paid for it myself.<br />
<br />
This is the 'before' of my living room:<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk2ssPSHuEPvtToGy6whrEJ9OJ89w_ZOfQUk0WRn1pDedzliGXubUgcIcm0Zz7ICMRSY8WhvzhuPs0rUEfT26ElQvVFUOJmzj9okA3coXY8ER93afCmS5CJ_PO5YSwsGRb4p2mb2WfD-A/s400/living+and+dining+021.jpg" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Barbara had me put the red sofa at an angle in the corner and swap the brown chair and the ottoman. Then she mixed up the pillows and put the floor lamp behind the red sofa (not visible in the pic). Suddenly, the space opened up and my furniture started 'talking to each other'.<br />

<br />
Of course I can never be sure if all those changes made a difference. But when the house eventually went on the market I got four offers in the first two weeks. I ended up selling it above the asking price.<br />
<br />
I decided I don't want a single family house anymore. With the help of my realtor I found a two bedroom townhouse in the same town. It was perfect for me and my daughter! Now, this was going to be so much easier.<br />

I had a lot of other things going on and I was more focused on decorating my new place but mostly it was because I have considered myself a finished project.<br />
<br />
I was always interested in fashion. I grew up with a mother who owned enough shoes and clothes to stock a department store and in High School I've even sewn my own clothes. However, over the years, dressing up in the morning became an afterthought. Then one day, few years ago, I looked in the mirror and screamed in horror. How did I became that frumpy, slightly overweight mother, hair up in black scrunchie, clad in clearance sneakers and ill fitting jeans? For the next couple of years I went through my own 'what not to wear' project. Somewhere on my journey I have become a JCrew junkie and even started a blog documenting my shopping habits. But you already know that.<br />
<br />
I did not stop blogging because I was depressed after getting divorced, as painful as it was. In fact, after my ex left in December 2012 and I got laid off, I traveled and got a new job and I was still posting quite a lot until the following summer. But as I was becoming the new single-again, totally-grown-ass-woman, I realized that I am not a project anymore. I was done. I still wasn't perfect, mind you (just ask my ex, haha). But somehow, I was good enough.<br />
<br />
I realized that I went the whole circle. In many ways I was back to the way I used to dress, But I was weeding through what I learned during my fashion obsessed period, discarding what I could not keep up with and sticking to my tried and true, hopefully more refined, definitely more confident.<br />
<br />
Nowadays, I do think about what I wear every morning. But I went back to wearing more jeans and t-shirts. I like my skinny jeans because I think my legs are my best feature. I stick to certain brands and I never regret paying a premium. I also love good quality swingy t-shirts. I dress it up with heels and maybe a necklace or a scarf and usually this is my uniform. When the weather is warmer I love to wear dresses, when its cold I have a few favorite coats and boots. I bought a Rag and Bone fedora and it works wonders with many outfits. Nothing earth shuttering but it works for me. I have worn jeans and t-shirts before and looked frumpy. I thought that I needed much more variety and I wanted to be unexpected. But I discovered that variety and novelty were overrated, at least for me.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<br />
Fit is king and quality is my prince charming. Wait, how about the queen? Well, queen is all about the hair. I had a couple of big fancy parties to attend recently. Every time I contemplated buying a new dress but I decided to get my hair done instead (it was still cheaper, too). Hair is the best fashion accessory. That's when I realized the advantage of LBD and black clothes in general. Nobody remembers them, so you can wear them multiple times! And they hide the stains better. Genius!<br />
<br />
Did I really need to spend all that time and money to arrive at the obvious? I guess I did and I have enjoyed the journey. I feel like I am Dorothy discovering that I could have came back to Kansas all along. But it was definitely more fun to travel on the yellow brick road. JC must have been the wicked witch I have slayed!<br />

Hello Everybody,<br />
<br />
I feel like I am back from the grave...<br />
<br />
I have been MIA for so long, it was surprise for me to see that I even had any page views anymore. Anyway, a lot has happened since I posted last time. I have been talking to some of you privately or you might have seen me on Facebook or Instagram, but mostly I just disappeared. So if you want to know what I have been doing, I got divorced, I lost my job, I wallowed in pain, I lost some weight, I traveled, I found a new job, I sold the house, I moved, I dated, I decorated, I fell in love, I gained my weight back and then some more.<br />
<br />
I did miss you all but I kind of lost my passion for all things JCrew and I was not sure in what format I can get back to this blog or some other reincarnation of it. I thought the solution would somehow magically reveal itself to me, but I finally realized that nothing really changes until you change it, so here I am, again.<br />
<br />
Not sure how I will proceed but I will take it one post at the time. I have not been shopping for clothes so much recently. In fact, I don't think I have bought anything since last summer and I haven't seen the inside of the J.Crew store for more than a year. It's not that I suddenly stopped shopping, I did shop for some other brands and then, after I moved, I focused on shopping for the house, I guess I can only handle one passion at the time. I thought I can share my new pursuits with you here and see what happens.<br />
<br />
Thank you all for being here, and as always, I'd love to hear from you.<br />
<br />

<br />
Hello everybody!<br />
<br />
Again, I have been very busy, plus I had some problems with my loptop, so I haven't been posting recently, but I wanted to show you a new graphic t-shirt that I got from J.Crew recently. I don;t see it online, so it is probably coming in the next rollout. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2gfnFCTIT5hHdVzzN-XQbe0sbEFsFyDZeQqlZsqmtyOiYS6sYQg8U0hod8KpkIrFy2OBRiNfifDpoQLgBgpAh2kyEZbY-WTRKaDcmnWNl3ie-T0gaGkrxskO3ZxwIahXlwqa3B2kPE94/s1600/Picture+002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" closure_lm_984527="null" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2gfnFCTIT5hHdVzzN-XQbe0sbEFsFyDZeQqlZsqmtyOiYS6sYQg8U0hod8KpkIrFy2OBRiNfifDpoQLgBgpAh2kyEZbY-WTRKaDcmnWNl3ie-T0gaGkrxskO3ZxwIahXlwqa3B2kPE94/s640/Picture+002.jpg" width="404" xsa="true" /></a></div>
<br />
In my opinion it is a very nice rendition of a graphic tee and I was happy to grab it. I miss the great t-shirts that J.Crew used to make and I haven't seen anything that I really liked recently. What I like about this one is that it is a fun make-you-smile print but not too twee or over the top. Keeping the color neutral tones it down but I do like the touch of gold. Of course this is just my personal taste and some may say the birds are the epitome of twee, but I like them. The cut is nice, I took a Small. I tried a Medium thinking that maye it is supposed to be loose fitting but it was just boxy and shapeless. In small it still has a little slouch but it is not clingy. I also like the neckline, the 3/4 sleeves and the hemline. The fabric drapes nicely. It was priced at $45 which of course is a lot for a simple t-shirt and I am sure it will go on sale. I got it with the 25% off, still not cheap but I decided I really liked it and I wanted to wear it right away. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
And I did! Last weekend, when I went apple picking with my daughter. Actually we both wore almost matching outfits, although it was not planned. So we both had our new graphic t-shirts in gray, skinny jeans. No I did not wear my pink Valentinas, lol. Her moose shirt and from abercrombie ( I know, we are at <i>that</i> stage, she is 10, sigh). <br />

<tr><td style="padding-bottom: 1px; padding-left: 1px; padding-right: 1px; padding-top: 1px;" valign="center"><a href="http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shirtsandtops/sleeveless/PRDOVR~02771/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~~~0~15~all~mode+matchallany~~~~~key%20hole/02771.jsp?isSaleItem=false">Silk keyhole top</a></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
</div>
I thought the silk keyhole top was a nice alternative to a spaghetti strap camis. It seemed bra friendly and providing a little more coverage while still having a sexy vibe to it. I was hoping it would work for going out but still be appropriate for my casual office and it should look good with a blazer.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLEgdAz_CXUhfAf1gj6YuASfjKuUBahXxXCRw_i2p5fAXeE8ykA7AiFHvPnGVc_z_PPzp9jBZatV9Wt8BapWHe6ecvkZhZz7teu5ZFMfUFNlPbcMw1qbcxaxui9hDKzv9B_C2MNJ3xnDc/s400/001.JPG" /></div>
<br />Well, I guess it wasn't meant to be after all. I think it would be OK if it was 2 inches longer and not so swingy. I am wearing size 4 and I think maybe a 6 would have been better? Maybe a little bit longer but probably still not enough. And it would most likely have too much volume at the hem. The armholes are cut quite high it this top, usually the J.Crew camis have the opposite problem, but not this one.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEia5n9mz_grtIF2OufUxjl62FXJIseac5Dm9D0hdCQsUlwKO3gsax39uYbhTiM8RDq_cftNIhAJtQ-3Jp52shETyfNR_hhhgNhFB0tgZteTeuvycE6BYFqZFeN0ZWYNjAcmDbAe4Z1ay9Q/s400/002.JPG" /></div>
<br />I like the fabric and it is not see through, definitely a plus. The neckline is very pretty and not too low on me, even with regular bra. It has bra keeps so you don't need a racerback or strapless. The color is not really blue, definitely more of a dark teal. I like the color and it is quite flattering with my skin tone but it has limited pairing options imo. Ideally this type of top would go with dark or black jeans but the teal does not look good with either imo. Light wash denim would probably be better, like they have it on the model. White works of course but I could not think of any other color. <br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfBBfoKM35Z2JA_MCIKisIJR6xjFyalDhEvBD21KTqWFIa4Wo8x6LAX4O_nJzW_5ehUGTNCIlpthH7lqmKkk_Qe_2hTomJKbCT37YLvb84YY6E37iS5WPNMRHGvKtci4lHMhJTPMKhkPE/s400/003.JPG" /></div>
<br />The back length is fine and it drapes well. The fabric covered small buttons in the back are difficult to do up and you cannot really get it on without having them undone or you risk getting your make-up all over the neckline. <br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHrp8s-f3cZdieGtMlLEXyiTt9FytTsStpAovFpUHe06lxkcC0UWMokW7nHGoNwvY-WCKZRG3jgSPH3PrQmospAG9BCC6Ewh4y0HD3AxaW-0cvccZN9sY4H1ETHzNQ2L6ET1RlS3EiN1A/s400/004.JPG" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /> </div>
<br />I do like the neckline a lot, so much in fact that tried it in another item, the keyhole dress in square dot. Since I did not buy it I don't have pictures but I liked the fit. Size 6 was perfect on me. It is just a little bit high waisted on me but not too much, it did not bother me. If you are shorter (I'm 5'6) or smaller than a C cup you probably will not have that issue at all. The dress fell right above my knee, definitely office appropriate. The print was flattering and it gave it casual air, making it a nice day dress. It could be made more businesslike with a navy blazer. Too bad it is viscose but it felt quite nice against the skin and I think I would like to get it once the price is right. That is, if I am still interested at that point. Often, by the time my 'watch' item makes it to the deep sale, I have already moved on to the other likes. I am fickle, I know <span style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4wPVI8TuHqhGdw_cWt9WAWLU2H5f9Q_NdTKSodgEW_v1PzUgvcquGeDz-eUt2YcQWTmovOJoLnEaXof5489Ueh26BGbOH_zt4RkwHicbZQWt1B7IJjCKqqjQcTfYpN867P9IvwjyH3T0/s320/A3133_WE3937_m.jpg" /></div>
<br />Since we are on a subject of viscose I also tried this blouse in black:<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<table border="0" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><colgroup><col style="width: 322px;"></col></colgroup><tbody valign="top">
<tr><td style="padding-bottom: 1px; padding-left: 1px; padding-right: 1px; padding-top: 1px;" valign="center"><div style="text-align: center;">

</td></tr>
<tr><td style="padding-bottom: 1px; padding-left: 1px; padding-right: 1px; padding-top: 1px;" valign="center"><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shirtsandtops/topsblouses/PRDOVR~03534/03534.jsp">Drapey Crepe Henley Tunic</a></div>
</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
</div>
Again, no pictures this time but I really liked the fit of it, especially with toothpick jeans. It had a nice casual vibe. Size 4 was perfect on me, so size down or take your smaller size. I see that the black and ivory are currently sold out in most sizes but they had plenty of them in store. I do wish it was silk because I did not care for the feel of the fabric, it was heavy, cold and not very soft. Still, it seemed to drape well but I am just not sure if I would be comfortable in it. <br />

<br />Sometimes it is the little details that make the outfit. I went through a period when I was buying and wearing a lot of statement necklaces and costume jewelry. I have accumulated quite a collection. But recently, along with going back to neutrals and simple streamlined silhouettes, I find myself going back to more subtle and delicate jewelry. So the recent email I got from J.Crew about the 'outfit changing necklace' did not tempt me at all. <br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<br />I usually like to just wear a simple gold necklace and I have quite a few but I for some time I had this round gold disk on a delicate chain in mind. However, when I had it priced at the local fine jewelry store I realized that the prices of gold are so high right now and I did not want to spend a lot of money. So what is a budget-minded, gold-disc-obsessed gal to do? Shop Etsy! <br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij8ZWZ-B7BQDFofbeIG9_WzBI01j8y8ZM8nIpxAU2w9xIuEP6J8yEcU21pOrnwnYNDNynmzkxH3dUakKV4Q4o51jtqv2BZjyqw75zdYFkHMMLODsBorPyAuSlAWHxULq3UPOeth5jfCPU/s400/030.JPG" /></div>
<br />After a little poking around, I found exactly what I needed from a lovely Canadian seller, Himi from <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/BlueSunflowers">Blue Sunflowers</a>. This is not a sponsored post btw, I am just very pleased with my purchase, so I wanted to share it. It does feel great to support a small, independent artisan, as opposed to big name retailer. My experience has always been great with Etsy sellers, great quality for the price and a more unique product. <br />You can pick the chain length, put your name or anything that is 4-7 characters on it and even add a little heart. My necklace arrived in about two weeks (it would be much faster if you are in Canada because of customs), nicely packaged. It did not disappoint and I am very happy with it.<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDC32YKjXLhF9cLdMssTdRHx7i8-WyuqSb3XiB6oVDZUX4onjGle0sBmrSrUiUrr2dnaQ6DEHieWliOa_UK6c7dlRYkir4yKwuAViZYnAqbbbBglv2auZLY5AWgF1gKtmnZqP4PQUAsWU/s400/closeup.jpg" /></div>
<br />I am wearing 17" chain. For wearing with a cami like this one it could actually be a one inch longer but it is perfect to wear with button down shirts. The disk is 16mm in diameter. It was $39 and you can find it <a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/124765867/name-necklace-statement-necklace-gold?ref=shop_home_feat">HERE</a>. <br /><div style="text-align: center;">

<br />Another purchase I am absolutely thrilled with is <a href="http://www.yslbeautyus.com/Rouge-Volupt%C3%A9/374YSL,default,pd.html">Yve Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte </a>lipstick. I was skeptical because it is very pricey but I LOVE it. It is the best lipstick I ever tried, glides on smoothly, stays on for a long time (and I tend to eat my lipsticks right off) and it is highly pigmented. It is glossy but it works perfect blotted as a stain. I am wearing a Red Taboo (#18) shade.

I was curious about Eaton Boy Trousers and they got good reviews from JCA community so I wanted to check them out. I am always on a lookout for the perfect fitting pair of trousers in basic colors.</div>

<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXjak-SXTsZ4_sidLzXt71XMFFUJ3v1vtnArSmYUsTqsWxdEwv_Vgi330IrDw3-5prKnCY_IFqLEI_SDPvVTGmNKVNrh7juC-m3mwYIi_ChHhNOTqaYmEqIRDvK9ohhTkuP09LlLpqsbY/s400/014.JPG" /></div>
Most of my try-outs end in failures because majority of bottoms are cut for more curves than I am blessed with. But the 'boy cut' sounded promising. I loved the walnut color so I ordered them in both walnut and black. I only took pictures of the walnut ones. Black ones actually look better irl but I would not be able to show you any details, it is hard to photograph black, especially in the late afternoon light. I apologize for the quality of pictures but I hope you can get the idea of the fit. <br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYyb2kGbT0EvZXc-5zoD94Yl_aYixINnQa3eV6oSO32h5PgFbhCI5V714w33tRdotveOsQGhW306rKkEJZvV3Li28t-eJ06POkflJfjkHhXoyOsitEN2BGwDYcx4G8uDgxlB7wLmSb2vQ/s320/012.JPG" /></div>
So the walnut color is not disappointing, it is beautiful and I guess walnut is a great description this time. They are NOT lined. Usually, I cannot wear unlined wool pants, like wool café capris, I find them scratchy and not draping well. However, these I could wear! The wool is not scratchy, it feels soft and I could start wearing them now as opposed to waiting for the weather to cool down. This gives them more versatility since they are cropped, which in my world, limits their use in the winter. The length is good but I wish they were more tapered towards the bottom, maybe they could be tailored. Also, if you'd like them longer, there is about 1.5 inches in the hem to lot out.<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNcr2PEYAvK5RdLtYvZbwPA4uEfAJ7umNKJ2xSNrbbloXMoWI8UwCBzPTB84M2tEA91uZlHVrOjpEpvpFSwzsbj6dOtfvF1xkTs3RkLKTyc1Fj3x3QEGoezEzVMcnJ282ZxIyi1I-K-NE/s400/008.JPG" /></div>
I have ordered them in size 2, which is the same size I recently took in cotton café capris, pencil skirts and Andie chinos so I would say they fit TTS. They are definitely mid rise as you can see in the pictures.<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOSi8OIDjmzSb5N__PVoh-gB8-cWCz2iib5bCOM2x1RlVekRylzs2BIGF-uvO9GC8Vuwy2VN81wyG5arxZ0bZ2WNN8uB-raBdf9G3y3j2EvyJHeOKlInIhz9lfLs_sMSXfJzXcNA3dT1I/s400/010.JPG" /></div>
Well, the fit in from is good imo. They have pockets but I would leave them closed for a more streamlined look. I like the hook and tab closure and the pintucks. <br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTpO3qJS3hQG6vOYXaBgqtM0SKpXmWE7JdD2JX1v_RBVu8fc8ThFDoNjsq2xVcYcXhmeUDdsUL6k-msNfzv3VzGhi7YNXfBDGmOK-lmKSK4ctv8b12mNNXHFT8n_jIOY1TeGNMMzvPD8Q/s400/005.JPG" /></div>
Now, the back view is not that great on me, lol. This is probably due to my, hmm, limitations and they may look better on most. Actually, I think it looks a little better irl, due to the twisted position but they do bunch up in the upper tigh area. I have the same problem in café capris, so if you don't it will probably not be an issue.<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6EA5QCUf-vz2By9LcM9WXBvsghnJU3tpmQiTSIVqmTPRHAwFKj0plb62m4QVO5BI1g5xcm8EJrdKV6YxnXR69IJybiB1TI_SOV78veQO0cBTUqyQyUn0A0OndLEZLSZQhr7Hi-hES3vQ/s400/004.JPG" /></div>
I think I have confirmed once more that the J.Crew pants are not the best fit on me, my favorite are still Theory trousers but even Banana Republic fits me much better, not sure why I keep trying. As for the Eatons they are also very expensive for what they are imo, even with the 25% discount I got. I still quite like them, maybe because I mostly get the front view, but I have to consider others see the back too, right?<br /><div style="text-align: center;">

I have already reviewed the tie waist dress and orange slangbacks <a href="http://ajcshoppinnghabit.blogspot.com/2013/08/not-so-neutral-tie-waist-dress-and.html">here</a>. The dress and shoes were definitely an extras for me and not something I needed but I decided to buy them because I really loved both and the price was right. Well, we can always find thousands of ways to justify an impulse purchase but, on the other hand, I never regretted buying things I truly liked.<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgipoBNsWB8PWi2K4mQeJnxUWl6X7OWXX1bkPtI6CUJgcn0RypiUlAynjsrJUHQc29Hn-ntwM5-9v5M2yiIKiIx0QraQG0PYJX4uJaGLNgl7CPL0_HWuEgR3eTMKYMIp1yd4vMsdYJkMLU/s640/049.JPG" /></div>
<br />This blush blouse however, was in another category. This was something that I wanted to have in my closet and I have in the past considered the collection blouse from J.Crew (not sure about the name, I remember Dani had one) and recently the <a href="http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shirtsandtops/topsblouses/PRDOVR~48864/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~~~17+4294966980~15~all~mode+matchallany~~~~~chiffon/48864.jsp?isSaleItem=false">pleated chiffon blouse</a>. With the Emerson Made version I knew the fabric is going to be superior and the quality great, so at the sale price ($98) the value should be good.<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKaXspwjUDgIWBQQVGmnt54mp-OsJEJyPcL_lPO6rjYq4eUhGskzh_bMwZ4f-I3mm65r7QNI5dIrR46dodGai0ljVJ2WXG8UZwHhX3MjbKp98nakJG5lSYQKUR6rFmjWRT0X_Ue2F8ryE/s640/043.JPG" /></div>
I have ordered size M and it fits well. Emerson tops run short imo, but they have long sleeves. I do have proportionally short arms, so the sleeves may not be so long on you. I am 5'6 but probably have arms of somebody who is 5'4, lol.<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp5cIcdMEPnm2n-4YOjjASGoSjPqZnvi-LEhgU_nL5Yf8WXTtf0KuJvfmh0eyMXuC5kxZ9ndIuggpok5pQLvfIGaqdRhhY2knmugXZsPV48GVCsPei8cG-E3KuqpFMmVPsih1zUJ6HyW8/s640/057.JPG" /></div>
The fabric feels great against the skin. It is the type of silk that is matte on the outside and satiny inside. It has some heft to it and I is NOT see through.<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisWRDOQJnRqvG5Bqj_TPd4PoezBQfpLE0rjBtLnMxX1sg5N57_g54VjYQAXxtrixBste_wo2dMimJJNBBANhyphenhyphenCsp-YG8InUWK_YrJ-nFq55EQGqoy3blBIrNn65NSYVCA4raZTuGoskJs/s640/054.JPG" /></div>
I love this blouse and it works great tucked in or untucked. It may be a little short if you like longer tops, but I like it because it is easier to wear untucked and it does not create bulk under my bottoms when tucked in. <br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX4p730tZy0DKnE-qXtl0eRRhzD7QuoNT28VuOtjjW20z70dUiL6b8CdCoJuTdySUFIU980XT827Y7K2D-6TdTIXmeyervLZLw1Z1vh_G80HHkzXPWlYt7myR1ThfedCmGKHOcsIHOgTk/s400/059.JPG" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am also wearing J.Crew midrise toothpicks in carbon wash, Ann Taylor belt, J.Crew Valentina pumps, Kate Spade purse and Rayban Aviator sunglasses.</div>

You can see my review <a href='http://ajcshoppinnghabit.blogspot.com/2012/10/oversize-merino-pocket-sweater-review.html'>here</a>. When I saw the latest version in light camel color I thought this will be exactly what I need: longer, warmer sweater to wear over skinny jeans in a color I love and that will go with everything. <br /></p><p style='text-align: center'><img alt='' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaWe0znIPOs3GgapCFW44ALySJcB-UgPCB1Zfk02GaX5L5JY25Yj0_6RYDTZuF_JrgIc0F4z6Mvnx8Nk7s1ufiBTnQagelmY-LB-MeU4WaUgkelzBsz7i7sWWiGITQ8Ms1YGkuObCEcoo/s400/002.JPG'/><br /> </p><p>I ordered it in size Small since I expected it will be oversized. I have ordered from them in the past and blogged about it <a href="http://ajcshoppinnghabit.blogspot.com/2013/04/buying-what-you-want.html">here</a> and <a href="http://ajcshoppinnghabit.blogspot.com/2012/03/champagne-and-fowl-emerson-fry-review.html">here</a>. This dress has caught my eye in the spring but it was too expensive and I was worrying about having to wear the strapless bra. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb-A5-IILs4tziNsxgOIqdZ6THoUybt2DBk-GFflbzyMI3YcL-FaTNpQsG2jwVMps3TYerJMdSM0HkUi9-nS7U8O0-nRFahcqiczyx-4Y13vrhLWl2IPTEq2nwkPkvx4vJ3lmdDqglgYc/s1600/tie+waist+dress+stock.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" qsa="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb-A5-IILs4tziNsxgOIqdZ6THoUybt2DBk-GFflbzyMI3YcL-FaTNpQsG2jwVMps3TYerJMdSM0HkUi9-nS7U8O0-nRFahcqiczyx-4Y13vrhLWl2IPTEq2nwkPkvx4vJ3lmdDqglgYc/s400/tie+waist+dress+stock.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<span xmlns=""><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;"><br />I have to tell you, loosing few pounds and finding out that I can do strapless after all, has been a liberating experience, my summer tops options has widened rapidly. And then the dress went on sale to a very reasonable price point. <br /><br />Well, guess what? I veered off my commitment to simple neutrals and went ahead and placed and order for an orange dress and matching shoes. I have promised you a review of the new Andie chinos from J.Crew in my last post. I was going to publish it over the weekend but I have been having problems a lot of problems with Blogger and 'errors on page'. My mac that I have been using for blogging has died and my when I tried to post from my PC it would not work, I think due to Internet Explorer or Windows 7 or both. I am also having problems with posting comments, so sorry about that and please bear with until I figure it out, I will eventually... <br /><br />I have never been a big fun of the chino look as they tend to be generally unflattering on me. I associate them with those admirably sturdy gals that could not be bothered with makeup and would usually 'style' them with a pair of sneakers and t-shirt they got at the Cisco training class. But I was tempted by the pair of pants that promises the look and comfort of skinny jeans and be as office appropriate as a pair of trousers without the need to dry clean them. Hey, I thought, if they can do that, this might be the Holy Grail of the office bottoms. <br />So with that in mind, I have decided to try the Andie chino. Now, I did not have super high hopes because I have previously had the some hopes for a few recent iterations of café capris without much success. I mean, I do own few pairs of them and they are OK but nothing to rave about. They look OK in front but they do sag in the butt and upper thigh area. Well, this is mostly due to my lack of booty curves but a girl can dream (and hope for the miracle), right?<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;"><br /></span></div>
<br />After asking for an advice from the JCA community, I decided to order them in my old size 4, as there seemed to be the consensus that they run smaller than café capris. I have actually confirmed that by asking for measurements and yes, size 4 in Andies seem to have similar measurements as Café Capri size 2 with the hips measurement proportionally narrower, which is usually good news for me. <br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">Andie Chinos on the left (size 4 regular) and Café Capri (size 2, regular) on the right</span></div>
<br />My current café capri size is 2 and even that is not too tight, but I don't think I can size to a zero. Actually, I quite like them in this new size. They seem to be a little longer than my black version from 2 years ago and a little looser in calf, but maybe they will shrink? I do like the desert color, kind of dark camel shade, which looks very nice with black and white/ivory, but it is not so great with pretty much every other color. I can live withthat because these are my colors of choice anyway, although I did contemplate them in natural but decided that it may be too boring. Not that desert khaki is that exciting, lol. <br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">Andie Chinos size 4R, Andie Size 4T, Café Capri 2R</span></div>
<br />After asking for an advice on Andies from the wonderful JCA community, I decided to order them in my old size 4, as there seemed to be the consensus that they run smaller than café capris. I have actually confirmed that by asking for measurements and yes, size 4 in Andies seem to have similar measurements as Café Capri size 2 with the hips measurement proportionally narrower, which is usually good news for me. The fabric on Andies is thicker and less refined than on Café capris, it feels much more utilitarian. The waistband is narrower and they close with a set of double tabs and buttons. Actually the tab closures are almost difficult to undo but maybe this is just me or lack of dexterity. <br /><br />OK, so despite the claims of slim fit, they are not that tapered in the leg and no, they don't fit like skinny jeans. But they do fit closer in the tight and seem to enhance my usually, ahem, unconspicious rear view.<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;"><br /><img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtwE4H70-kJ8PLVDStFMEyb8QKJLS4TUM7UOKAY7pa94XrshgnkoCZ6l2TmAIfoCsmFN4M-WSlJW7clgD56LTonoHCckoj_VqrRp2R7HLaaRw8W6EwymrE2TOZWXU0dstg_vfOfZOlK9U/s400/015.JPG" /><img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyy6G0ErC3q6CstrWkEjZhEh2BGJ13jPu_ZoejZK1eO-MsihT35NgXUEnbsfNGB8skT_Ep4Jq9W7mdbyvhzIucKRK-TQaMYs5FvNMi9kWJ22KAamVrDcUsUxexsB7QpXSFJEMsy4f0_y0/s400/022.JPG" /><img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-Qi9tke-suKXsiYx4rmdVvDqzuv7DWH7CoISeM-rMIACN-41AVN5VHShosqwi4Rs7tt-Wav4tQc4yRB4xpjoFqbmF3Xvg5NHX5HnwrlDYp64Lrpr1FitFnNXSEDx7PdG5JsRnL9PbDIY/s400/035.JPG" /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">Andie Chinos size 4R, Andie Size 4T, Café Capri 2R</span></div>
<br />The Tall Andies are supposed to be 3 inches longer and have the same other measurements. Well, I can hardly see the difference in length so it cannot be full 3 inches but they bunch up a little more. I think I prefer the regular version. <br /><br />Is it me or the full length veers too much into the hiking pants/Cisco t-shirt direction? <br />So which ones should I keep? In the pictures, surprisingly, I actually like the café capris the best. Maybe it is the color? Or the more refined fabric? And how about that rear view? <br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;"> <img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXQPxD6wX6TTIagg6Sf1JO3AR8onny5Ta_Q6u0bNfYOe3IS7DS5MeLE7xXBLHL3KqX5X12cQ2OPc8QKakTQFv0eI72bnDDbkhP_-EI9fJ1uScAKc8Z574aN7J_tqM3PkD9FSb2EBt8x_E/s400/028.JPG" /></span></div>
<br />And here is the basic silk cami in black. I have quite a few of these but I have been buying them in Small and this one is an Extra Small and it does look so much better now. Btw, this might be tmi, but to my great delight I have discovered the <a href="http://www.victoriassecret.com/bras/victorias-secret-pink/wear-everywhere-multi-way-bra-pink?ProductID=131398&CatalogueType=OLS">perfect strapless bras </a>and I have been wearing them non-stop this summer. I got four of them when they had them on sale. I like them so much that have been wearing them with regular tops! I never thought that would happen but it is just so much easier when you don't have to deal with the straps. Halleluiah!<br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;">

<strong>I am curious what you think about Andie versus Café Capris and which ones should I keep.</strong></div>

Update: I listened to your advice and tried on Andies in size 2, in different color. <br />
<br />
What do you think? I think they look much better now. Sorry for the picture quality but just wanted to make it quick. <br />

<span id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2850" style="font-family: Calibri;">Hi everybody!<span id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2855"> </span>I
am still alive and kicking, but as I’ve mentioned before, I have started a new job
and I have been super busy with new projects. I also did not have as
much time to comment so I apologize for that but I still read most of my favorite blogs whenever
I get a chance. </span></div>
<div class="yiv4285669042MsoNormal" id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2861" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2860" style="font-family: Calibri;">My
new workplace is very flexible as far as the dress code and while some
people can be dressed up, quite a few opt to wear jeans daily. This
is the best possible scenario for me and I feel comfortable to wear
what I like the most, this includes both jeans and pencil skirts. </span></div>
<div class="yiv4285669042MsoNormal" id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2861" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">

have also mentioned that I have dropped a skirt size which created a
slight closet dilemma for me. I did say that I will wait a little and I
surely could work with what I already have in my closet until at least
spring, But of course, I would not be a true owner of the Shopping Habit
blog if I did that, would I? There is probably no greater excuse for
buying some new clothes than a weight loss so with my new job and
renewal of a paycheck I decided to get a few basics in my new sizes. </span></span><span id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2860" style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></div>

returning to the pretty minimalistic style, something that I have always
been very fond of but I have sort of branched out in the last few years
which coincided with my preoccupation with a certain retailer. Overall,
I think this has been very good for me, let me discover color, print,
pattern mixing, new silhouettes and working with accessories. But in the
end, I am a clean line, basic colors, limited embellishments kind of
gal. Now, I will never be a capsule wearer, 33 items in your closet
French-style woman. I can do a capsule when I go on vacation
but other than that, I do like to have choices. I
refuse to feel guilty about it, as long as I
don’t take loans to finance my purchases or move into a bigger house

<span id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2867" style="font-family: Calibri;">That
said, I did learn that I get the more mileage from items that fit my
personal style more closely. Those will be very basic and somewhat
boring: simple pencil skirts, neutral t-shirts and trousers, white
button downs, well fitting jeans, classic coats, simple blazers, basic
sweaters etc. Most of those will be solids: black, white/ivory,
navy/blue and camel/beige/khaki. I use red/pink as my accent
color and I like to add a patterned skirt and some printed tops for variety. I realized
that having about 5 basic bottoms and 5 basic tops gives me 25 outfits
because all of them match together. And they will all go
with my favorite purse and 2-3 pairs of shoes. I should be able to throw
in 5 fun pieces and be set for a season! </span></div>

<span id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2867" style="font-family: Calibri;">Of
course, it does not
work like that.<b> My closet follows the 80/20 rule. 20% of my clothes
make 80% of my outfits and the other 80% fills the remaining 20%.</b> This
does not sound right. So this year, I am trying to stick to it and buy
mostly staples. So far I have been good and the only ‘fun’ items I bought
were the Punk Floral blouse and Bodens coral tunic, everything else fits in the basics
category. </span></div>

<span id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2869" style="font-family: Calibri;">My
recent celebrate-my-new-size order from J.Crew has been following this
rule as well. I have ordered two new cotton pencil skirts, in black and
natural, 2 suiting ¾ sleeve t-shirts in black and white,
Andie chinos in khaki, black Kiki ballet flats, black
silk camisole and white shorts. I have to admit that after wearing baggy
clothes for a while, putting on the correct sizes feels great. I wish I could stay there with my weight but hey, if not, I will take what I can. In case I put on some pounds I definitely have enough clothes in my closet to dress it.</span></div>
<div class="yiv4285669042MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">The
clothes I ordered are such basic items I don’t feel like you want me to
really review them but I will just have some comments: </span></div>
<div class="yiv4285669042MsoNormal" id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2872" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span><span id="yui_3_7_2_1_1376608916702_2871" style="font-family: Calibri;">The
pencil skirts are the same like always, they fit me well now that they
are a correct size (2) but even if I don’t have much in a way of curves, the
waist is still slightly too big. Natural is a great color to work with,

They have a very nice cut and perfect scoop neck but they are very thin.
They are not double layered as the tanks. Therefore, the white one is
see-through and showing every lump and bump and I am returning it. I am
keeping the black one because it does have a nice shape, not sure if it
is worth the price, probably not but I like it enough to keep it. I have ordered size Small.</span></div>

Kiki ballet flats are great! I was skeptical because the classic J.Crew
ballet flats were always awfully uncomfortable on me. These have less
toe cleavage, leather lining, seem to have more padding and slightly
higher heel. They seem very comfortable and they look great. I am
considering getting a back-up but I will try to wear them for a while to
confirm the comfort factor. I took 8 in Kikis, which is smaller of my shoe sizes. I tend to wear 8.5 in heels and 8 in flats so I would still say they are TTS.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=2041375655221489584">I have mentioned in the end of my last post that did purchase something from J.Crew and it was the Stretch Suiting Tank. I have been curious about it before and I decided to order it when they had the 40% off promotion going on. It is a basic tank but the reason I was interested in it was that it seemed like it would not be sheer in white and that it would cover the regular bra straps. </a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxfb35Wp2XmBrpXR6mUVlpjt3dx_UEfyXue2D3Am1GwnINK6zgjzAfCVebochVtoInrjaTNylXlxPLkypXkVc9luwlOji7VPv9nQEGCp0jOUNA8F8vLcje7fvDdXNO2UkXg26t81sdNLg/s1600/IMG_0238.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxfb35Wp2XmBrpXR6mUVlpjt3dx_UEfyXue2D3Am1GwnINK6zgjzAfCVebochVtoInrjaTNylXlxPLkypXkVc9luwlOji7VPv9nQEGCp0jOUNA8F8vLcje7fvDdXNO2UkXg26t81sdNLg/s400/IMG_0238.JPG" width="342" /></a></div>
<br />
Well, I am pleased to report that it is as expected. Not a see through and it can be worn with a regular bra. It is double layered and not tight in the mid section which helps cover the lumps and bumps. It is not too low cut and actually have a very nice neckline imo. I wish they would do it with different sleeve lengths as well, I would be first in line to order.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
It is not exactly cheap but it is so hard to find a white tank that it is not see-through so I am keeping it. I do think it should not be that hard, lol.</div>

***</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I wanted to review the tank for you, but the purchase I am really excited about is not the tank but my new blazer. I have been looking for a black boyfriend blazer for some time. I tried <a href="http://ajcshoppinnghabit.blogspot.com/2012/04/are-you-blazer-girl-or-cardigan-girl.html" target="_blank">the one from Theory some time ago</a> but I eventually returned it since it was too much of a suiting blazer. What I was looking for was a blazer I could wear outside of work, over the jeans, tank top and a pair of heels.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Well, after my recent disappointing visits to J.Crew, I decided to stop at Bloomingdales to look at the latest offerings from Vince. I am a big fan of Vince and the 'minimalistic cool' but it tends to be very expensive and out of my budget. Nevertheless, I tried on few t-shirts and blouses. I really liked this one, which actually looks more like something from Tory Burch except for the colors.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="shortDescription">
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Vince's blouses are very slouchy and oversized and although I liked the idea of them, they were not that flattering on my figure. The t-shirts were nice but not enticing enough to pull the trigger. There was a lot of offerings mixing leather with other fabrics which made me glad I bought <a href="http://ajcshoppinnghabit.blogspot.com/2012/10/gone-clubbing.html" target="_blank">the Regan tee from Club Monaco</a> some time time ago. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I was browsing trough the Rag and Bone collection (which btw has a lot of cool stuff that I would gladly wear, if I had the budget for it), when I spotted this blazer in Helmut Lang section:</div>

I love the scrunched up sleeves. They are sewn like that, so you dont have to worry about them coming undone, but I suppose you could remove the stitching, if you'd like to control it yourself. For me they are perfect.<br />

I also love the super narrow faux lapels and the single button and perfect pocket placement. <br />

I love the blazer but it wasn't exactly in my budger so to fund my purchase I decided to return everything that was still returnable and get the extra money from my ebay sales. I was still off but it was now under $100, which I was OK with. This was something on my list for a long time and I know that I never regret buying things that I really love and I would probably regret more if I did not get it.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I think I am going to wear the blazer tonight, for a night out in the city, including some live music. It is supposed to be around 75 degrees, so it should be perfect. </div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9gOshivQJlEjAR7o1-6xq6J5rlaN1v1biPQMkWpe__zX6FKQNiKFTbLx-IQm_dDjGpvkzL3hgQLEoEeAVwBXd0SINMMW4UagziVxl9P6kuuyX2Piu-2SbJFJRsHEQxwIaZCHdTws7Jmg/s1600/IMG_0072.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a></div>
Have you checked the new arrivals at J.Crew? I went to the store yesterday, checked the website and browsed the newest catalog. I liked some of the looks, but have nothing really on my wish list. Sure, I liked some of the new button downs, but I already have way more that I am able to wear. I also like some of the jeweled sweaters but it is too much pain (and money) to get them cleaned, I'd stick to providing my own jewelry over the regular sweaters.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a border="0" href="http://www.jcrew.com/womens_feature/NewArrivals/shirtstops/PRDOVR%7E02773/02773.jsp" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Crepe racer tank" border="0" src="http://s7.jcrew.com/is/image/jcrew/02773_BL8133_m?$ary_tn250$" width="250" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.jcrew.com/womens_feature/NewArrivals/shirtstops/PRDOVR%7E02773/02773.jsp">Crepe racer tank</a></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
In the store I tried on the Crepe racer tank in Brilliant Fuchsia and I quite liked it. I would say it fits big and still had plenty of room in size 4. I have noticed that recently I have been taking 4 in tops and 2 in bottoms (as opposed to 6 & 4) but still, I would say size down or take the smaller of your sizes, if you are in between. The exposed shoulder silhouette has been going strong recently and it works well for me but I am getting saturated on this front. The fabric does feel a little stiff but it did not bother me. It is not a see through, even in ivory I think, a definite plus. The brilliant fuchsia is a very nice berry toned shade, not to bright or neon-y. You will need a strapless bra with this one. <br />
<br />

</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
I also like the pleated chiffon blouse, its clean lines remind me of something from Vince, at a better price point. I will wait for sale on this one, I don't really need it, but it may be a good buy eventually.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Since I was in the store I also tried the Tipped Gamine Dress. I wasn't really interested in it but I thought I would give you some feedback. It fit TTS, I have tried a 6 and it was a little big but they did not have a 4 to compare. I thought it would be better in 4, which seems to be my size these days in dresses and tops. I don't like pointe fabric for summer and it felt too heavy and thick. it also had a weird and unflattering puffing in the back which was an instant deal breaker but maybe it is just my body. The length was just before the knee in regular size. The dress felt very preppy but not in a good way, more like some kind of costume I would wear to a party at a place with a swimming pool, gardens AND a private tennis court, not exactly my usual crowd, lol. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.jcrew.com/womens_feature/NewArrivals/suiting/PRDOVR%7E03014/03014.jsp">Gwen dress in colorblock</a></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The Gwen dress in colorblock looked good on a hanger but I really do not need it. My new office seems to be very casual, most people were in jeans, sleeveless dresses and sandals so I don't think I would get to wear a suiting dress, plus I will be working 2-3 times a week from home. This is great because outside of the convenience, I discovered that almost all my pencil skirts and slacks are too big and hang in unflattering way on me. I am a little torn about what to do about it. Should I alter some of my clothes to fit better and hang on to them in case I gain my weight back? I have been lucky to be very consistent with my sizes over the years and this is something new to me. Of course, this is a great excuse to buy some new things but I don't want to replace everything. In any case, at least I don't have to immediately rebuilt my work wardrobe. I think I will wait through the winter and see where I am then...</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
In the meantime, I tried on the double serge wool pencil skirt, to confirm that I need a size 2. I thought it was cut very straight and it was still a little too big in the waist and not tapered enough towards the hem, I did not think it was flattering at all, just really blah. The wool seemed plush and substantial and finishing same as last year. But the fit just left me cold and I think I may prefer altering my older skirts and having them actually follow my curves (or lack of them). </div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
For now I am enjoying the last days of freedom from work. Here is my OOTD: Free People top (how appropriate), Paige boyfriend jeans, Kate Spade purse and Steven sandals. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I did buy something from J.Crew recently and I will review it next. I also got a new blazer, that I am VERY excited to show you, but I need somebody to take my pictures and my 10yo is at the camp until mid August. I will try to get my older daughter to be the photographer. She has been taking the recent pictures but she is always running around during the day...</div>

I am enjoying my last couple of weeks before starting a new job. It has been nice to be home in the summer and be able to bask in the hot weather and wear casual clothes all the time. I have to admit that when I am not working I have very little motivation to get properly dressed, especially in the heat. I seriously don't know how some of you do it when staying at home. I am full of admiration, because I found myself in shorts and t-shirts every time when I wasn't interviewing. But nowadays so many companies, at least in my field, do the phone and webcam interviews, all the way to the final one. So I am glad I did not invest in getting a new suit, which I was contemplating, because, in the end, I did not wear it that many times. Actually I had this funny dilemma, whether to wear a suit to a webcam interview. It is often advised to dress like you were going for an in-person interview but it just seems silly and unnatural to be sitting in your own home dressed up in a suit. So unless I was directly advised by the recruiter to wear a suit, I usually opted for something like a blue button down shirt and non jeans trousers. Yes, you do need to dress your bottom half, you may have to get up at some point during an interview, lol.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now that I have an office job back I will be reunited with my pencil skirts, which did not see the light of day recently, with a few exceptions. One of them is this linen skirt from JCrew. It is lined with cotton, which is great for summer and I wore it couple of times. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Skirt and tee J.Crew, sandals Boden</td></tr>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I never used to wear pink when I was younger because it seemed too cute and girlish for me. But somehow, in my forties I decided that it just has to be the right shade of pink. I admire pale, ballet pink on others, but usually it makes me look like a 'death warmeth over'. For some reason, neon pink has the same effect on me but medium pink is another story and I actually like it a lot. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I remember than when I bought this inkblot skirt couple of years ago I wasn't sure what to wear with it, other than obvious white/ivory. Then, I discovered that this perfect v-neck in flamingo pink was a nice match and I think I wore it together eve since.<br />

I thought this outfit was perfect for something like a lunch time date, comfortable but put together and pretty without trying too hard.<br />

The cut is boxy but I think less so than in the silk pocket tee like the Mai Tai <a href="http://ajcshoppinnghabit.blogspot.com/2013/06/mai-tai.html" target="_blank">I tried here</a>. I like the boxy shape as it gives it a relaxed, easy vibe. <br />

I like the tipped detail, it looks great in the back. It will also work nicely under a blazer to wear to the office.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
I don't have a picture but the armholes are slightly big, but not too bad. I like the neckline and that it is not too high, like some of JC crewneck tops.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Overall, it is a nice top but the sheerness may be a deal breaker, if you don't like the idea of wearing a cami under cami. It is priced too high at full price imo and I am not sure if it is worth it with the 40%. I am glad I ordered it at full price because I am not even tempted. Maybe once it goes on sale, plus percentage off?</div>

</div>
There are some colors that we simply cannot resist. For me, it is coral red. Now, blue is my favorite color, I love certain shades of (blue based) green and I own plenty of neutrals. But coral red is the color that can make me forgive other imperfections or justify a splurge, especially when it comes to a top or a dress. How about you, do you have a weakness for certain shades? <br />
<br />I ordered this <a href="http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Womens-Tops-T-shirts/3_4-Sleeved-Tops/WA410-ROU/Womens-Sunset-Blossom-Macrame-Top.html" target="_blank">Macrame linen top</a> from Boden quite a while ago. However, my initial order never arrived, so I have to call customer service to get a replacement. I finally received my order and I love this top.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqaPb83FBOVeMnrNqIc2C-nHsjZVWL-Lo6IGK7fA3GP2kFjcq0WOvwzD8kux-Guuj6ihv4ICHVQ8arpuANuzYrqX3xqREu7FD39htuTFsmE17W2tClEvJCS-j_rWkqttq31CyPMPqqFRo/s1600/IMG_0011.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqaPb83FBOVeMnrNqIc2C-nHsjZVWL-Lo6IGK7fA3GP2kFjcq0WOvwzD8kux-Guuj6ihv4ICHVQ8arpuANuzYrqX3xqREu7FD39htuTFsmE17W2tClEvJCS-j_rWkqttq31CyPMPqqFRo/s640/IMG_0011.JPG" width="440" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I don't buy much from Boden these days but what originally attracted me to them was exactly this style items, fun, easy to wear, casual and feminine without being too sweet. When I saw this top I immediately wanted to wear it with denim, I thought it would make a perfect outfit when you want to look casual but still pretty. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmUizSFn754CZ3rIjSmoluuepYcmKlNyI0qnxSK2BUq1EwVgZmX9hD6xua54QqhEC73E-78_xUxWQvNfDP34cFTvLlnzymCVJQza35Nl1rv-htshHGNKN72R1o1oM8DcUnbuWG0TRnU1U/s1600/IMG_0009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmUizSFn754CZ3rIjSmoluuepYcmKlNyI0qnxSK2BUq1EwVgZmX9hD6xua54QqhEC73E-78_xUxWQvNfDP34cFTvLlnzymCVJQza35Nl1rv-htshHGNKN72R1o1oM8DcUnbuWG0TRnU1U/s640/IMG_0009.JPG" width="498" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Sorry about the hair, I was on my way to the hair salon, lol </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The color did not disappoint me, the print is lovely and the neckline flattering. It is linen, so it is quite breezy, despite longer sleeve length and it feels very comfortable. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggugNgYTBsfSnGObRPTzOpjYHgP1VKQKQhtqJrm3apeHK0VHDigywuClE2EZA7uIP5zeMYD9KAMexYepCuftYWL-etq_ht20e-PEtrM2_FuYpYDufpRNoTj8WrTPRfbI9lavLeXWIouv8/s1600/IMG_0013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="356" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggugNgYTBsfSnGObRPTzOpjYHgP1VKQKQhtqJrm3apeHK0VHDigywuClE2EZA7uIP5zeMYD9KAMexYepCuftYWL-etq_ht20e-PEtrM2_FuYpYDufpRNoTj8WrTPRfbI9lavLeXWIouv8/s400/IMG_0013.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
It is just long enough to fall to the hip on me. I love this length,
enough to give me some coverage but short enough not too look like a
tunic.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPfgN0_6cEg6JUMv95X23Ch9E7fzaU_vjOwTXhW10kEcqa41X0HWeG6OTTQVmos5_iSdomKQV4zzTeyb31XdH0JwcZIzoDPnCXibXHemh3hc93lG7kUbpzIfmDOMIYEmm4cWA1MHMJjFU/s1600/IMG_0019.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPfgN0_6cEg6JUMv95X23Ch9E7fzaU_vjOwTXhW10kEcqa41X0HWeG6OTTQVmos5_iSdomKQV4zzTeyb31XdH0JwcZIzoDPnCXibXHemh3hc93lG7kUbpzIfmDOMIYEmm4cWA1MHMJjFU/s640/IMG_0019.JPG" width="384" /></a></div>
<br />
Overall, I think it is a great top. I would recommend it if you like this style and it is now now sale and still available in many sizes.<br />
