These are the reviews of the few items I tried on last week on my visit to concept store. They should be online in the next few weeks.

Love it! |
I really like this top. It is pretty and special. It is similar in concept to eyelet cami but it fitted me better. I loved the collar and the fact that the neckline was not so high. I tried on an 8 and it was a good fit, roomy enough in the chest but not too lose and the armholes were not gaping. I thought it would be super cute to wear it with capris. Of course I have many white camis, but this was different enough for me to consider. I liked the feel of the fabric, no polyester here. I guess the hanging dots make it more delicate but they seemed rather securely attached. Nevertheless, I would prefer to order this one online to avoid in-store damage. It does have an exposed zipper, that I know is a deterrent for some of you, It does not bother me at all.

$128, 100% cotton, shell and lining |
Daisy print cafe capris
|
Size 4 TTS |
There looked a little crazy on the hanger but there were surprisingly cute on. The fabric is 100% cotton, but it is a a thicker weave and it almost feels like it has linen in it. More stiff and rougher texture that regular cotton cafe capris. They fit the same like my other capris. I liked them a lot and I would consider them if I already did not have foulards that are similar in concept and colors.

Size 4 |
This skirt is pretty but I was not sure about the color on me. But it would look super cute with navy. It was a bit tight in size 4 and I would prefer a 6, I had the same issue with big eyelet pencil skirt so it i similar fit. It also created the shadow effect that I don't like but some think it adds interest to texture. Eyelet is very pretty. I am pretty sure it will come in different colors.
|
Fits smaller than double serge cotton and many other pencils. |
|
it has waistband |
|
$128, 100% cotton, lining 97% cotton, 3% spandex.
|
Anchor t-shirt
|
Size Medium, TTS to small |
|
$39.50, 100% cotton |
Nice tee but rather thin and nothing special. This one was cuter on the hanger and rather blah on, imo.
Fits TTS, I took my larger size because it is thin and I wanted it to drape better. If you like anchors this is more subtle way to wear them. Overpriced, of course.

That's all folks
Do you like any of the items reviewed?
I really like the first cami and I think I may be getting it at some point.
I will have more tomorrow, so please stop by.
Please share, it would be no fun without you!!!
Oooo the back of the first top is so lovely, very Betty Draper <3

ReplyDeleteThanks as always for all the previews ajc! :)
ReplyDeleteThe first top is a recreation of the Confetti Bateau Top from 2007, except the original didn't have an exposed zipper. I bought that one, but ended up returning it because the neckline just wasn't flattering on me unfortunately. I think this new version looks very pretty on you though! You should definitely consider getting it. :)
You are right FFM! It looks exactly like it!
DeleteMy mom has the 2007 version and I've always loved it on her. Maybe I'll pick one up this time around. FFM is right - it looks very pretty on you!
DeleteBtw, there was also a 'confetti' wedding gown and shorter 'confetti' mia dress, too.
ReplyDeleteAJC, your shoes are adorbs!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Desert Flower, they are from J.Crew from last year or two years ago. I believe they were called Pierra Ballet flats. They are leather lined and have a little wedge inside. I find most J.Crew ballets uncomfortable but I can wear those for the whole day of walking.
DeleteThe first outfit is so great on you!! I LOVE the pants, and think they are actually quite different from the foulard print, don't you?? The only thing about the top is it looks so easy to ruin!
ReplyDeleteI also really like the eyelet skirt on you. I feel like we can be more flexible in coloring for skirts and pants, anything that doesn't hit the face. A nice way to incorporate the new bright colors w/o being overwhelming.
Thank you for the reviews, as always!
Thank you audreys, I guess I am telling myself they are very similar to foulards, because I have no money left.
DeleteAbout the skirt, I think this color will be even better with some leg tan.
I love that hanging dots cami!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the preview ajc. I do not like the current direction at J.Crew, it seems juvenile and girlish to me, totally not my style.
ReplyDeletexoxo: I think most places head that way in summer, I'm trying to remember that i will soon be 50.
DeleteTabitha, you have a point there, I'll see if J.Crew changes direction for fall.
Deletelove the first outfit. it looks fantastic on you and the up close pic of the pattern on the capris shows just how pretty the print is. i hope you get that top b/c it is pretty special.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the cami, what fun piece! You must buy it ajc.
ReplyDeleteI want that cami but I will have to wait as my funds are all dried up :(
DeleteLOVE that hanging dots cami!! Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteLots of great items to come- must have the daisy capris, love love the pattern. Also happy to see the anchor tee, perfect for the summer and won't break the bank. Thanks for reviews!
ReplyDeleteSlastena, the capris are really cute, at first I thought no way, but after I tried them on, I changed my mind.
DeleteI love the eyelet skirt. I've wanted one for years, but I'm with you, not sure about the color.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the daisy capris. They look more like the classic cafe capri cut... not so tapered. Thanks for the reviews!
ReplyDeleteI think they are less tapered than regular cotton cafe capris that are restricting in my calves and almost ride up. And I don't have muscular calves. I thought this was because i getting smaller size to accommodate my lack of hips and they are meant for a smaller frame.
DeleteI love the hanging dots cami.. Not sure I need it, since I already bought the rococco.. but a girl can dream, and rationalize....
ReplyDeleteWMM ikwym, same here...
ReplyDeleteAs always, thanks SO much for these reviews!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat reviews, thank you! I am not feeling inspired by most of the recent offerings. The clothes seem/are nice, but I don't want most of them. Maybe I have finally reached J. Crew saturation? Is it possible to have enough of one brand?
ReplyDeleteNone of these move me. Of course I may likely change my mind when I see them irl and/or see them around the blogosphere. Thanks for sharing the pics. I always love your reviews. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the hanging dots cami!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reviews!
